Not giving up

This will only be a very short post, but I wanted to point to some very important forthcoming material I intend to promote soon, on why it is crucial not to give up on Ukraine now, for a whole variety of reasons.

My work has a particular focus on the enslaved people in Ukraine, on drawing attention to their fate and trying to support them. It is vital not to abandon them now in abstract geopolitical deals. We cannot indulge in the expedient fallacy that we can appease Putin, or use Ukrainian territory to buy our own fragile peace.

I also want to write about how various events are interconnected, how the security and welfare we enjoy in the UK and Europe depend on Ukraine. I want to question why, when a raft of experts, academics and important thinkers are underlining that it is vital to help Ukraine, politicians are not taking their warnings on board.

Most importantly, I want to draw attention to specific things that exceptionally brave Ukrainians are doing, and how we can support them.
